Congratulations to Skip Black, who has
just signed a three-year contract to become a staff songwriter for
SongJourney Music Publishing, Nashville, Tennessee. As you know, Skip won
first place in the NSAI Charlotte open mic contest in 2003, and as part of
the prize, he traveled to Nashville and met with several publishers.
Through those meetings and relationships he formed in Nashville, and
through his own hard work and perseverance, Skip has worked himself into
the Nashville community. He has been traveling to Nashville regularly to
co-write and to pitch his songs, and has established himself in Nashville
as a quality songwriter. |
